Testing Capabilities Starr Aircraft has been a FAA approved burn testing facility for many years. Oil burn capabilities to support 14CFR 25.853(c) requirements are a key service provided. We support OEM TSO projects as well as coordinating with local FAA representatives for PMA and Owner Operator projects. Testing is performed in a temperature and humidity controlled facility to ensure accuracy and to adhere to conditioning requirements of FAA. Starr utilizes a Horizontal Burn Chamber and Vertical Burn Chamber to conduct frequent product evaluations and support 14CFR 25.853(a) requirements. Starr has a completely new building to house the equipment necessary to perform the testing and provide even better viewing facilities for those customers wishing to be present for testing. Custom computer control and data capture has enhanced the overall reliability for consistent testing, a must to providing testing services.
